Tuition and Scholarships

KyCAD’s scholarship program encourages the most talented students to study here and create a meaningful body of artwork over the course of their college journey. Because KyCAD aims to create an accessible and inclusive community of artists, every applicant admitted to our program is reviewed for a scholarship opportunity.

In the 2022-23 Academic Year, more than $150,000 in scholarships were awarded to enrolled students.

Tuition and Fees for the 2025-26 Academic Year

Full-time Tuition: $30,000 per year
(Full-time is defined as 12.0 or more credit hours per semester)

Estimated Cost of Attendance

The Cost of Attendance (COA) is a federally required estimate of the total educational and living expenses a student may incur during an academic year. It includes both direct costs (such as tuition) and indirect costs (like housing, meals, transportation, and personal expenses). Estimates included below assume full-time enrollment.

KyCAD does not offer on-campus housing or meal plans. However, the College partners with local landlords to offer Preferred Student Housing, which is reflected in the estimates below. Food costs are calculated in accordance with federal guidelines assuming 21 meals per week. Living expenses vary depending on the student's circumstances.

1. No on-campus housing is offered by the institution. Preferred Student Housing refers to college-supported housing provided through partnerships with local landlords. Estimated at $3,000 per semester ($6,000 per academic year) for a shared double room.

2. Estimated based on 21 meals per week × 30 weeks = 630 meals/year or $5,250/year. Students living with family are expected to have reduced food costs, reflected accordingly.

3. Range provided accounts for proximity to campus and transportation mode (car/public transit).

4. Based on standard federal student budget benchmarks. Includes basic costs for hygiene, clothing, mobile phone, and discretionary needs.

5. KyCAD is not currently participating in federal loan programs, therefore this fee is not applicable at this time. This will be updated once Title IV participation begins.
