Dr. Saundra-Anne Morrell is a clinical psychologist who currently provides treatment for children, adolescents, and families, specializing the early-childhood aged population.
Dr. Morrell received a B.A. in Psychology from San Diego State University (2008), M.A. in Psychology from Pepperdine University (2013), and M.A. in Clinical Psychology (2015) and Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D., Clinical Psychology) from Wright State University (2018).
During her graduate studies, Dr. Morrell participated in research, conducted by her Dissertation Advisor, focused on Parents Early Childhood Education-Positive Actions Choices Training (PECE-PACT), a program conceptualized from a developmental, behavioral, and social learning theory perspective.
Additionally, Dr. Morrell second-authored a poster, based on the research, titled Evaluation of an Eight-Week Community Program: Child and Parent Perspectives. She co-facilitated weekly groups and classes for children, teachers, and parents based off of the PECE-PACT evidence-informed psychoeducation program designed to prevent conduct disorder in preschoolers. Dr. Morrell participated in suicide completions research, conducted by a professor during her graduate studies. She third-authored a poster titled Blunt Force Trauma Suicide: Motivation, Psychiatric Illness, and Substance Use and fourth-authored Suicide and Murder-Suicide by Perpetrators of Domestic Violence: Gaining Insight to Improve Suicide Risk Assessment and Prevention.
Importantly, before starting her psychologist career, Dr. Morrell spent 23 years in the United States Navy and retired in 2016 as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. Throughout her years in the Navy, Dr. Morrell facilitated multiple trainings and classes and taught the most recent one throughout the country for young adult Sailors, titled Personal Responsibility and Values Education and Training.
